rare victorian scottish oak scoreboard

Circa 1870, rare and complete oak scoreboard by J & T Scott, Billiard Table Makers, Edinburgh. This wonderful oak framed scoreboard incorporates a chalk board in the centre with rotating counters above and below for the scores sliding compartments either side. All the markers and moving discs are made in ivory and the counters which are concealed behind are mother of pearl. The scoreboard fixes to the wall and beneath this is a section to house the balls, counters and a coin collecting mechanism. This is supported on solid oak brackets with open fretwork. It is very unusual to get a three part scoreboard. Condition is almost perfect, everything functions and is complete.

Size 122cm high (including brackets) x 115cm wide x 21cm deep.Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
