Circa 1920's, Regency style mahogany twin pillar dining table + 1 leaf. The top in solid mahogany is D-shaped with a moulded edge, and has 1 additional leaf which is held in place by cast brass handles and 2 small pull outs. Beneath the table top is a rectangular block and from this the base of the table has a shaped canon barrel column with a turned section in the centre, with a central bezel. Off this there are 3 substantial reeded sabre legs which are braced underneath to make it extra sturdy. At the end of each leg there is a cast brass toe and finished on a cast brass castor. The table has been re-polished and is sturdy.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
