Hieratism and simplicity -- these are distinctive features of this Eclectic armchair circa 1920. The furniture has been made in noble walnut wood, and comes from Northern Europe.
Presented armchair is monumental and extremely comfortable, thanks to its high backrest. The upper stile is ornamented with a columnar carving, finished with decorative finials in a shape of rounded plinths.
The back splat has been upholstered with a natural leather in dark bronze, which gives the furniture its dignified character. The broad seat has also been upholstered with a leather, covering the apron.
The arm rails, which ends with carved scrolls in a shape of tiger heads with a fillet embossed area, have been finished in a very detailed way. The armrests have cushions over their whole length. The cross bars of this exquisite armchair/throne have been joint together into a crosslink, which makes the whole extremely stable and sturdy.
The armchair is settled on four very interesting, baluster supports in a shape of flattened sphere.
Because of this special mixture of simplicity and elegance that this piece of furniture represents, it deserves all the extra attention.
This piece of furniture, as for its age, is in very good condition. Only slight traces of careful use are visible. We hope that the value of this furniture will be appreciated by many customers.
