Rigby carbine is in a very good condition, with only old repairs to the butt. The lock has a roller-frizen. It has a captive ramrod secured via a swivel on an L-shaped bar designed to accommodate the socket bayonet.

There is a number (1881) stamped on the L shaped bar.This carbine is probably one of those issued to the Irish Constabulary in the 1820's and was certainly issued to the Police Water Guard (PWG) as it has been stamped on the top of the barrel with PWG.The original paperwork shown in three of the images are owned by John Rigby & Co, 13-19 Pensbury Pl, Larkhall, London SW8 4TP and are therefore not for sale.There is no bayonet included with this carbine.Postage extra.
