This is an excellent pair ofEdo period fuchi kashira nicely decorated with hanging scroll and mouse design by skilled carving work.
Signature: Yasuchika (Tsuchiya) 1670 ~ 1744 One of Nara-sansaku, worked around the middle of the 18th century in Edo (Tokyo)
Condition: Good antique condition with age appropriate wear and flaws.
Copper with Zogan, Iroe work.

Yamabushi came about through a long time involvement in the martial arts, which brought about an interest in Japanese weaponry and antiques from the Samurai era up to edged weapons of the Japanese in the second world war. I now buy and sell items worldwide, the vast majority of them coming direct from Japan via trusted dealers I have traded with for some years.
