This fabulous little sofa has a solid frame with a good weight and is of very good quality. It dates from around 1870 and is very comfortable. It has a buttoned back and front. It is fully sprung and has been upholstered in the last ten years or so. Although the navy blue velvet type fabric is in good condition this sofa would look wonderful in a new modern fabric. There are attractive shaped legs under the valance with original castors. The show wood on the legs is in lovely condition. The drop arm works smoothly.This fabulous sofa is very comfortable and came to us with another pair of chairs. The pieces together would make a good three piece suite.
