A Large Victorian Mahogany Wing Armchair

This armchair has a solid mahogany frame with a good weight and is of very good quality. It dates from around 1860 and is very comfortable. It has attractive scrolled carved arms and a serpentine shaped front. It has been stuffed throughout with horse hair and is fully sprung. The back has been buttoned and currently has the large tacks to finish. Although the fabric is quite old it is in good condition, although this chair would look wonderful in a new modern fabric. There are beautiful turned legs to the front and splayed legs to the back, with original brass and porcelein castors. The show wood is in lovely condition.This fabulous armchair is of large proportions and has a lovely deep seat which makes it extremely comfortable.If you would like us to recover this armchair we would be happy to send fabric samples out in the post.
