Circa 1825. A quality Scottish mahogany and inlaid chest of drawers. The top in well figured mahogany with a ribbed fore-edge and frieze framed with multiple layers of inlay, the front with a configuration of three short over three full length graduating drawers, each with string inlay, canted corners and generous cast brass circular pull handles with a large embossed circular back plate, the drawers are flanked by a pair of ribbed pilasters with sunken rondels on the top. Beneath the bottom drawer there is a shaped and inlaid frieze on the front and sides, all resting on bracket feet at the back and ribbed saber legs to the front.
