Louis XVI secrétaire a abattant, in walnut and fruitwoods, with a beautiful beveled grey marble top in great condition.
It has a single drawer with patinated escutcheons above the tall front, and two lower doors (bottom has two shelves),
The middle section has compartments and a leather top writing surface.
Originally owned by Count Christian de Guigne IV and purchased from his estate in Hillsborough, CA.
There is a small bit of inlay missing (shown in photo). It has been missing for some years, probably when the piece was originally shipped from France. It really doesn't show unless you're looking for it, and not at all with the desk front down.
There is also some minor damage in the back left leg, and on the drop front - please contact us for more details.
The 200 year old Italian hall chair shown in the last photo is not included in the price, but may be purchased separately - please contact us if interested.
For international buyers we offer a 10% discount to help defray shipping costs.
