We present you another incredible piece of furniture in our collection --this elegant and highly exquisite Biedermeier secretary desk circa 1870.
The secretary desk was manufactured in Northern Europe. This furniture has been made in the method of veneering with mahogany onto a frame of coniferous, and deciduous tree.
Furthermore, this piece of furniture has a stepped cornice, which is called “Copenhagen Head” by the native Danish. Under that, there is a practical drawer, and a rectangular, lockable with a key and decorated with a rectangular frame lid.
After opening the lid, there are two, finished with arcs, compartments, six drawers, and a tabernacle that can be locked with a key.
In the lower section of the furniture, there are three drawers: one narrower and two wider. All escutcheons have been ornamented with beautiful, golden plates, which additionally enrich presented furniture.
The desk has been placed on four legs: the two rear are rectangular, in the form of plinths, and the front ones in the shape of a flattened sphere.
This secretary desk is a world class furniture. It will surely impress its buyer, and make him/her proud of owning such a piece of furniture.
