Circa 1860, serpentine-front, kingwood display cabinet. Surmounted by a pink and grey marble top with moulded edge, and the ormolu mounted, glazed and marquetry inlaid panelled door opens to reveal glazed shelving. There is similar glazing and marquetry panelling to the shaped sides, and this sits above a mounted, shaped apron. It is all supported on chamfered cabriole legs with extensive ormolu mounts.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
