Circa 1880. A quality set of 12 mahogany dining chairs in George III style. The shaped top rail with a carved and pierced vase shaped splat including foliate carving, swags and harebells, with two well-formed arms supported on shaped uprights, the drop in upholstered seat in yellow and floral fabric. Back legs out swept and finish on a simple pad foot, cabriole front legs with foliate carving on the quarter blocks, knee and the facings and finish on a stylized foot. The set consists of 10 side and two arm chairs.
