A superb set of George II Antique Silver Cast Candlesticks. The knopped baluster formed stems lead to reeded spool –shaped sconces tapering to acanthus embellished shoulders. The conventional formed nozzles are detachable, lobed shaped and embellished with acanthus leaves. The square shaped stepped bases have a circular well, are engraved with a coat of arms and each corner is embellished with foliage. The coat of arms is of the SHARP(E) family , originally of Cumberland and Yorkshire impaled by possibly CULME/CULLUM.
