circa 1890 an exhibition quality Sheraton style inlaid display/ bijouterie cabinet, with elegant moulded top with a finely inlaid frieze, top section with bevel edge glass on 3 sides, mirror backed interior, below there's a glass section and pull-out drawer which is glazed on the front and sides. All foredges of the piece are cross banded in satinwood and ebony inlay. The base has a triple panel back board and a shaped shelf with an elegant moulded edge, all resting on four elegant legs with inlaid on the facings, tapering and finishing on an elegant raised spade toe.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
