Silver coaster by the Imperial Court Supplier Lyubavin decorated with a graver design in the Art Nouveau style. Hallmarks: full Lyubavin company hallmark under a double-headed eagle, St. Petersburg Assay Office hallmark with the initials of assay inspector Yakov Lyapunov. 1896-1903. Weight: 182 g. Historical background: Alexander Benediktovich Lyubavin, the owner of a silver and goldsmith`s factory founded in the 1850s at 31 Nevsky Prospect, bought F. Genrikhsen`s factory at 2 Grafsky Lane in 1893. In 1907, his son, court silversmith Nikolai Alexandrovich Lyubavin, managed the company. The company was awarded gold medals at fairs in Nizhny Novgorod (1896) and Stockholm (1897). The Lyubavin AL jewelry company operated from 1893 to 1917.
