An exhibition quality William IV rosewood and mother of pearl table top jewelry stationary cabinet, with the makers label in 2 locations; ‘William Wilson’ pocket book and case manufacturer 21 George Street Edinburgh the sarcophagus shaped rosewood cabinet, profusely inlaid in mother of pearl inlay, top section is removable inside is fabric lined the top is in finely gilded leather, the top section is hinged and opens to reveal more drawers and a fabric lined interior, the front with a pair of doors with inlay similar to the top with tooled leather inside and small fitted full length drawers fitted out, the bottom drawers pull out to reveal a leather writing surface beneath, cabinet rests on 4 conical ribbed squat bun feet.
