This is a tall antique music stand. An English, oak adjustable recital rest, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Strikingly decorative stand with fine craftsmanship and of good proportion
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
• Quality oak stocks present fine grain interest and rich russet hues

• Appealing pierced fretwork decorates the sheet music stand, with bronze rotating stoppers

• Set neatly within the frame, the rest adjusts upon a toothed ratchet guide
• Finished with a bronze adjustable screw to secure the rest upon the pole

• Slender support stand topped with a charming finial
• Turned and cupped form to the lower mount with twist reeded finish
• Distinctive trio of legs to the base accentuated with a small finial to each toe
