tall chinese 2 door cabinet on stand

Circa 1870. A stylish tall lacquered and chinoiserie Chinese 2-door cabinet. The rectangular cabinet with scenes of trees and birds and motifs. There are engraved cast brass corner brackets on all the facings and the two full length doors are held in place with four pierced and engraved brass strap hinges, the doors have a pair of elaborate pierced and engraved lock and escutcheon plates, inside the cabinet is painted red with 3 fixed shelves. Beneath the doors the cabinet rests on a walnut and gilded stand in the Baroque style. There is a shaped gilded frieze, standing on four well-formed feet, intersected by a classic baroque shaped and raised stretcher, all siting on four stepped block feet. A stylish and elegant cabinet.
