This is a tall pair of antique brush pots. A Chinese, hand-carved bamboo bitong or flower vase, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Fascinating bitong, or traditionally carved brush pots - ideal for dry flower arrangements
• Displaying a desirable aged patina, in good original order
• Skilfully carved with an abundance of detail, the bamboo presents bright caramel hues
• The scenes depict merchants within a bamboo forest, further decorated with pavilions
• Excellent examples of Chinese craftsmanship of the late Qing dynasty

This is a charming and decorative pair of antique dry flower vases, useful as brush pots in the bitong tradition. Delivered polished and ready to display.
