This ring features an elongated oval-shaped bezel set with intricately woven hairwork under a domed cover. Surrounding the hairwork is an elegant enamel frame delicately decorated with alternating gold stars and dots on a white enamel background, edged by a gold border. The refined craftsmanship and meaningful details offset the ring's simplicity.
The back of the band's head is engraved with the dedication: "Thom Thorpe Ob. 27th Nov 1792 Æ 24", memorialising the life of Thomas Thorpe, who passed at 24 in 1792.
This ring, circa the Georgian era, is in good overall condition with light wear commensurate with age.
