An early Victorian mahogany breakfront open bookcase, the stylish moulded cornice with foliate carving including acorns to the corners, the rounded facing with an elegant scratch carving, the top 3 sections each with 4 adjustable shelves, the base follows the form of the top with similar carving on the fore-edge with 4 doors with foliate carving on the top and quarter sawn oak panels, with a shelved interior, all resting on an enclosed oak base. This bookcase has approximately 13 meters of linear shelving.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
