Circa 1870, unusual mid-Victorian walnut, burr walnut and marquetry credenza/leaf holder. The top is in burr walnut, with exhibition quality marquetry panels that follow its shape to the front and sides. It is open to the centre, with mirror-backed shaped shelf in red walnut and flanked by serpentine shaped doors with shaped glass held in place with foliate carved pilasters with carved corbels. Inside are 2 shaped shelves, and to the side is a single cupboard which would have originally been used to store leaves; standing on an enclosed plinth.
