Circa 1870. Victorian burr walnut Wellington secretaire chest. The polished top in figured walnut with canted and beaded fore-edges above the chest with pilasters with carved corbels, the right one a locking pilaster. The top two drawers with original turned knobs and mahogany drawer linings (a sign of quality). Beneath are two faux drawers with a drop down front revealing interior with leather writing surface, pigeon holes and drawers. Beneath this are three deeper matching drawers, all on an enclosed plinth base. In excellent condition.
