victorian carpet chair

Circa 1880, stylish and classic Victorian carpet chair. The top section and seat is made from carpet, and the rest of the chair is faded gold velour with deep buttons on the arm and uprights. The chair has curvaceous side rails which finish as the arm becomes part of the seat. The back legs are outswept and the front legs are turned and squat; these would have had castors originally. The whole frame is sound and sturdy, condition is fair.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
