Circa 1880. A late Victorian ebonized, burr walnut, amboyna and ormolu mounted pier cabinet. The ebonized top with moulded fore edge with breakfront sections. A stylish and elegant burr walnut frieze with a mixture of boxwood and ebony inlay with an oval panel in the center and marquetry on each end, a single glazed door with amboyna veneer and fine brass beading to the frame. Inside is velvet lined, with two shelves. With two tapering columns with elegant gilded Corinthian caps, fluted and tapering. All resting on a breakfront base which follows the form of the top resting on four squat bun feet.
