victorian mahogany and inlaid barometer and thermometer

Circa 1890, late Victorian mahogany and inlaid aneroid barometer and thermometer. With an ebonised arched top surmounted by a fleur de lis and the main body in layers of kingwood, satinwood and tulip wood. The barometer is in a mahogany framed case with glass front and beneath there is a circular mahogany bezel with the aneroid barometer inside. It has bevelled edge glass, a moving arm in the centre and a porcelain face.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
