After 1880, unusual chair with its raised top rail and a carved crown of Queen Victoria. To either side of the crown are floral patterns, C scrolls and 2 uprights with turned finials. There is an arched section to the back held in place by double bobbins, and the drop in seat has been re-upholstered in crushed red velour. To the front fore edge is a shaped apron with scratch carving and with ‘Jubilee’ carved into it. The square back legs are slightly out swept and the front legs are bulbous to the top, finishing on a raised toe.
