Circa 1870, tall Victorian display case in inlaid figured walnut. The upper, silk-lined glazed section is surmounted by an inlaid shaped pediment. It has an inlaid frieze with a Sevres type plaque, and with ormolu mounted pilasters at sides. The base has a similarly decorated frieze and pilasters with a figured walnut door, and a central, large ormolu mounted Sevres- type plaque. It is all standing on an enclosed plinth base.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
