Surprise, functionality, and chic are the characteristics of the walnut, Eclectic desk presented below. It was manufactured in Scandinavia, circa 1900. Furthermore, the piece of furniture has been veneered with burl, which the desk owes its unique look to.
Presented desk has a stepped setting that ends with a plate crest with medallion scrolls at the topmost point. Under that, there are two shelves supported on elliptical legs, which make for the drawers.
The setting is supported on the desk top, which is composed of three veneered panels joint together. Further, there are three drawers that can be locked with a key under the setting.
The whole is supported on four turned legs of “reversed goblet” profile, which has been joint together with a “cow legs” linking. In the central part of the legs, there is a footstool upholstered with claret material with fringes, which adds class and chic to the whole.
This desk presents itself splendidly not only in spacious office, but also in small spaces of halls.
This piece of furniture, as for its age, is in very good condition. Only slight traces of careful use are visible. We hope that the value of this furniture will be appreciated by many customers.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of wood used in manufacturing) has been confirmed by an experienced expert in vintage and antique furniture.
