Circa 1820. An Italian walnut X framed and leather upholstered chair. The embossed leather back with two carved uprights with primitive lion masks, the leather is held in place by large spaced brass studs. The shaped carved arms with acanthus at the back and lion heads in front supported on shaped uprights, the seat with embossed leather also, the base with a pair of cruciform legs, braced by a substantial stretcher with acanthus carving on the tops similar to the arms finishing on animal feet.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
