Circa 1900. An unusual and stylish two-part cabinet by ‘Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh’, in oak and pollard elm, the top section with a pair of cupboards which open to reveal an interior with two adjustable shelves, beneath this there is a moulded section, the base with four large, each with pollard elm facings and a pair of cast brass swan neck handles. Beneath this there are further mouldings and the two-part piece rests on classic bracket feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
