Circa 1830. A stylish carved and giltwood overmantel mirror from the William IV period. The top surmounted by a scroll of foliate carving with a pierced section in the centre with a carved flower head. The rest of the top has extended C scrolls and the original mirror is contained in a scrolling frame similar to that of the top, with carving down the sides and multiple carving towards the base including C scrolls and foliate carving. All resting on an enclosed gilt plinth which follows the form of the carving. Excellent colour and patination.
