Circa 1830, William IV twin pillar mahogany dining table with one leaf. The rectangular table tops have rounded corners and a deep apron with a beading below. The apron has a break front panel in the centre which is also beaded. The table is supported on a faceted tapering column with a circular base, on a stylish platform base on bell shaped bun feet with castors beneath them. The leaf can be fixed in position with brass clips, and at the back of one table there is a section for holding the brass clips. The tables can be used as a pair of console tables or side tables without the leaf. Re-polished and restored.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
