    Easter

    Easter

Get away from the chocolate Easter egg obsession

Of course, if you’re looking for something a little more extravagant, perhaps a markedly more ostentatious display of affection, you could try looking on www.antiques.co.uk. I go on there sometimes just to see what will come up if I key in certain words. For instance, today I keyed in “spring,” and I got a Victorian Marquetry Inlaid Circular Breakfast Table, an Imperial Jade and Diamond ring and leather Victorian Rocking Chair, amongst other things. When I keyed in ‘Easter,’ I got just the one item, an Easter island head carved in malachite stone. Whatever takes your fancy, that’s what I say.

Bunnies and 18ct gold make for a wonderful pairing

And then I typed in ‘bunnies,’ and up came this exquisitely designed Boucheron Bunny Brooch (that figures), in 18ct gold by those famous Paris jewellers, Boucheron. It would make a rather lovely Easter gift.

The best way to have fun online

You could go on all day, just keying in all the words that remind you of Easter and holidays, and come up with all kinds of novel stuff. And of course, if you’re the type of person that loves spontaneity and originality when it comes to gifts, it might be a fun game to play, and a novel way of finding something different and unique for that extra special person.

Don’t take my word for it, just go over to www.antiques.co.uk and do it. Take 10 minutes, an hour and you’ll find that once you start, you’re almost unable to stop, and then hopefully you’ll have found a gift that’s just right, and just the right side of perfect.

    Happy Easter.
