Circa 1870. Exceptional quality burr walnut Victorian kneehole desk. The rectangular top in mirror matched beautifully figured burr walnut and with moulded ebonized fore-edges above a central frieze drawer with original turned handles, brass London-made locks and solid mahogany drawer linings (sign of quality). Supported on two pedestals each with three graduated matching drawers flanked by pilasters with carved corbels, both sitting on enclosed ebonized moulded plinth bases. In pristine condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
