This is the daddy of true 1930's Art Deco clocks. Made in France by the very collectable Jaz company, this clock screams everything about the deco era we all love and admire, streamline, industrial and modernist. The casing is a mottled deep red colour, verging on burgundy bakelite, gleaming and shiny as the day it was first produced. The centre dial has a superb swirl carved detailing . The hands, numerals and linear lines to the casing are chrome and in tip top condition with no pitting or tarnishing. Wind up mechanism means you don't have to worry about balancing and timing pendulums. This is a good sized clock and would make a real focal point to a mantel piece or maybe sideboard or desk. These clocks are very desirable and retain their value well and don't come onto the market very often. This clock comes to you in great condition with no damage or ageing, fully serviced and working well keeping good time. Even the movement looks clean as a pin. Please note, the key was missing so we've replaced it with a fully functional replacement key from the same period. A time piece a real Art Deco connoisseur will love and admire.
