19thC Mahogany & Strung Bow-Fronted Swing Dressing Mirror

A good quality Regency period mahogany piece in good condition, with oval swing mirror in a cross-banded & strung frame on scrolled lyre supports with brass pivot drop-handles, on a 3-drawer bow-fronted base cabinet that has a finely-grained top with ebony strung & cross-banded edging, the drawer fronts veneered in flame mahogany with strung edges and Dutch drop-handles, the centre drawer with a bone diamond escutcheon, all on ogee bracket feet, this generously-proportioned and stylish swing dressing mirror will charm in the most elegant of boudoirs, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in taste, fully-deserving of the flattering attention it will certainly attract.

    Width of Cabinet 57.25cm x Maximum Depth 22.75cm (22.5" x 9") & Height 11.25cm (c4.5")

    O/All Height 56.75cm (c22.25")

This piece dates to around 1820-30, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use, including extensive but light foxing to the original mirror glass but, otherwise, it's in good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
