An Oak latched Drop Front Cabinet, the engraved brass strip above engraved with the titles of the five reference directories comprising Army List, Postal Guide, Whitaker's Almanack & an especially fine Arts & Crafts designed cover & spine edition of Kelly's Handbook, all dated 1895, plus a 1905 edition of 'Webster's Royal Red Book' which had replaced the Bradshaw's Railway Guide. All volumes are in 'little used' condition, containing many fascinating, contemporaneous advertisements. The maker's name & address are stamped on the red leather blotter.
