a coalport bute shape cup and saucer, c.1810

A good porcelain Bute shape cup and saucer from the Coalport factory, produced around 1810. Decorated with an all over, hand-painted, Imari style pattern executed in red and blue enamel and highlighted with gilding. Neither the cup or saucer is marked. Both pieces are in excellent, original, sound condition with any wear confined to one or two small areas of gilding around the rim of the cup. Please note: The purchase price includes postage and packing.
