chamberlain's worcester miniature coffee cup and saucer hand-painted in the style of thomas baxter, c.1820

A delightful porcelain miniature coffee cup and saucer produced at Chamberlain's Worcester factory around 1820. The cup, with gilded griffon shaped handle, decorated in the style of Thomas Baxter, (1782-1821), with a hand-painted figure of a farm worker wielding a pitchfork. The base of the cup inscribed: 'Chamberlain's Worcester', in red. The inside of the cup bears a printed label confirming this set was once part of the famous Mona Sattin Collection of Miniature Cups and Saucers. Both cup and saucer are in excellent, original, sound condition with no wear to the decoration. Please note: The purchase price includes postage and packing.
