a liberty & co. 'raleigh' smoker's cabinet

'The Man Who Smokes Thinks Like A Sage and Acts Like A Samaritan' is the stencilled motto on this mahogany cabinet, and whilst not a wildly fashionable sentiment nowadays it is wonderfully redolent of the era in which it was designed. It is comprised of an alcove beside a cupboard with a rampant lion on the door, and beneath is a shelf with inset copper ash trays. The ivorine Liberty and Co. label is found on the top.
