This beautiful chaise is of very good quality. It dates from around the late 1800s and is very attractive. It is fully sprung and has been stuffed throughout with horse hair. The chaise has been beautifully carved and it has the attractive serpentine shape to it. It also retains the original solid brass castors. It's been upholstered in the last fifteen years or so in a soft mint type light green velvet. Although the fabric is in good condition there is some braiding that has now come loose, you may even wish to recover it, this chaise would look wonderful in a new fabric . It does have a broken piece on the right arm and this would need to be repaired, it has also over the years been repaired underneath in the same place on the other arm and is held secure. We woud be happy to carry out this repair for you if you were having the chaise reupholstered by us. This fabulous chaise-longue would grace any room.If you would like us to recover this chaise-longue we would be happy to send fabric samples out in the post.
