Here we have an absolutely stunning & extremely rare oak humidor from the Arts & Crafts era.
It is beautifully made out of oak which has been polished to a high and glorious glow which brings out the grain and patina of the wood fantastically!
It has double oak doors on the front with original brass lock and hinges - sadly no key but this could easily be rectified by your local locksmith. Inside are 3 drawers with original brass campaign handles, 2 have sectioned off areas for cigars etc and the top one still has its original zinc lining and zinc lid. Outside has a gallery made in the same gorgeous oak supported by hand crafted brass Arts & Crafts pillars which for me is what makes this cabinet/humidor so spectacular. Either side is a strong ornate brass handle.
As you can see from the photos this humidor/cabinet has been made to an extremely high standard, the more you look at it the more you appreciate the workmanship that has gone into it.
Extremely high standard of workmanship - I cannot find a makers name anywhere on the humidor but it is definately from the Arts & Crafts era so could possibly have been made for Liberty or similar quality store of that time.
Although this was designed as a humidor; today it could be used just anything you like - it would look fantastic on a desk with plenty of storage space for your stationery etc.
CONDITION: In superb condition - there are a few small signs of age and history which just add to the charm of this fabulous & unusual item!
