Circa 1870. A stylish and elegant brass, oak and cast-iron adjustable reading stand, rising up from a gilded platform base with four animal feet on a raised pierced section supporting the brass upright, from this a single smaller articulated arm with movements in three directions, supports an oak reading stand with elegant moulded fore edge and a small bookrest at the bottom with two brass arms for retaining the book, the stand retains its original colour and patination.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
