Circa 1880. A stylish and elegant ebonized, gilded and painted aesthetic movement cabinet. The top with a raised gallery, the ebonized surface of the shaped top, has a gilded line front on the fore-edge. The frieze has is a full-length drawer with reeding and gilded sections, and a classic pair of engraved brass swan neck handles with elegant back plates, beneath this is a series of ebonized balustrades. A pair of cupboards both beautifully painted in oil, with children playing, the cupboard has reeding and gilded lines and four strap hinges, beneath this is gilding and a bobbin section. The canted sides of two open ends, with a stylish frieze to the top with arches and gilded flower heads, the fore edges are gilded and ribbed, at the bottom is a shelf and the cabinet rests on a shaped foot at the back and turned and gilded feet at the front.
