This is an antique loose tea caddy. An English, mahogany and velvet dual compartment case, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

• Beautiful Regency craftsmanship with a superb visual appeal
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks present fine grain interest throughout
• Rich caramel hues beam beneath the wax polish finish
  
  
• Pleasingly thick lid opens to reveal a pair of canisters
• Each enclosed with a flip-top lid with recessed touch point
• Central mixer compartment accommodating a glass up to 10cm in diameter (4'')
  
  
• Fascia dressed with an inset lock — in working order, key present
• Brass drop handles to either side, over pierced foliate backplates
• Standing upon a quartet of squat bun feet
