Completely original (apart from a replacement black hide writing surface) this small Antique Victorian Teachers Writing Desk dates from the late 1800's. Made from figured American pitch pine this desk has a classic nine drawer front elevation, a (removable) superstructure with a further six small drawers and on the reverse two large opening and lockable cupboards with shelves. Original "shell" style handles, quality brass locks with keys to drawers and cupboards and, above all, this unique desk has wonderful figured panelling to the sides and rear.
This is an exceptionally handsome desk suitable for a home office, study or work area or indeed a sitting room or hallway given its proportions and impressive colouring.
