art deco silver guilloche 8 day clock - adie bros.

For sale is this lovely Art Deco solid silver framed blue guilloche 8 day easel back bedside clock of octagonal form. The circular dial is set with Arabic numerals and it was made by Adie Brothers, Birmingham in 1930. Hallmarked to the back of frame section. The clock measures 9cm by 9cm and is in excellent condition and currently running, although no guarantee is made that it is in working order. The frame around the dial has a Greek key design and the gold and blue work very well together. The exterior of the case has seen better days however the interior is good and it has the retailers name "Terry & Co, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths" with their address as "Corner of Cross St & King St, Manchester". The push button opener works well. A very nice example indeed.
