Circa 1880, Chinese hardwood low kang table, the rectangular top with its solid panel centre framed in similar wood. At the sides is a deep apron which has a slightly moulded edge and stylish brackets at the side. The whole piece stands on 4 squat square legs with a little moulding on side edge and finishing on a slight curve. There is a trade label underneath ‘Carvills, Established 1770, Removers and Warehousers, 57 High Street, Lewes’. Colour and condition is excellent.
