Circa 1860, exhibition quality, Chippendale period mahogany pembroke table. The well figured top has a simple rounded fore-edge with slightly rounded corners to the flaps, with a full length drawer to one side with cock beaded edges and cast brass rococo swan neck handle and open pierced back plates. It has fine fretwork quarter brackets and beading to the outside edge of the legs with chamfering to the inside. It has a cruciform stretcher with open pierced work and stands on 4 squat cast brass castors.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
